mine is sitting too.. yesterday I found that my rear tire was flat. I picke up a nail somewher on my way home friday and didnt notice. new tires are on the way. and my bike is now parked in my kitchen.

FWIW, there are some good deals on eBay for chains. I paid $95 for two sprockets and a new chain. I think the chain alone was like $60. There is no need for some HiPo DiD or RK chain as long as the one you get is strong enough. The sprockets will probably wear out before a properly maintained chain will anyway.

Most os the time you'll need to replace the sprockets with a new chain and vice-versa. You cannot put a new chain on sprockets that have wear on them...they won't mesh right...
