I have a 87 cbr that after about 15 mins of rideing it cuts off and will not start until it cools off ........ any suggestion of what the problems is and how to repair/fix it..

 

Does it get really hot or what? Sounds kind of like when my friend was riding his bike and he didn't change gears often the bike got hot and just turned off till it cooled down.
Maybe you got something going on with the cooling system of the bike? We'll see what others have to say.

 

Vapor lock?? Bad coil?? Carbs loading up?? Clogged fuel filter??

These things have all happened on my vette since I've owned it so that's my guess.

The next time it dies you will have to pull a spark plug and see if it's firing. Then go from there.

 

I would probably lean towards the coil first because when a coil gets hot the resistance inside the coil will increase. This can cause a weak spark or it could possibly be making the coil short out completely.

 

ever have the byke just drop on its side even lightly? might be a bent radiator pipe, or coolant tank leaking coolant,, radiator leaking, many different things like the ones mentioned above, figure id give u sum more ideas, hope u fix da prob
