CBR F2 Regulator problems
Hi guys just a simple question I have basicly burned through 3 regulators in the past year recently had to put a new one in and it burnt out in a week. Now it has been moved next to battery under the seat as there is enough space to keep it weather tight there as my cbr is now naked. My question is... can you get a gsxr reg on the f2? Ive heard a lot about this before but not sure what gsxr part would fit and how? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also my 2016 streetfighter post will be updated this week check out the progress ive been making.

Short answer is this.
If your reg/rec is the problem, then the new honda oem one is the best, easiest, and least difficult way to fix the problem. Aftermarket reg/rec are sketchy at best.
If your blowing reg/rec because something else is wrong, then it doesn't matter which kind you put in, it will fry. You need to find the cause of the problem and fix it.
Heat is what kills them. Originally they are bolted to an alum plate. It's a heat sink and is in the air flow and dissipates heat. If you've moved your reg/rec, you'll need a way to cool it.

I agree with Phil, you need to figure out why first, then go from there. The info about a GSXR reg/rec is a "sticky" in the F2 Tech section. On a side note everyone says the GSXR reg/rec wont plug in, but you can swap a couple wires places in the connector and break the "walls" off of the suzuki one and it'll plug right in, I've done it.
