Canyon + Freeway Fun - Last Joy Ride
Hey guys, I'm selling my F2 so I decided to go out last night for my last joy ride on the F2. My brother, 97' gsxr 600, and cousin, 03' kawi zx6r came with me. I never rode with a group so it was my first and quite fun. It was 10 o'clock and we decided to hit up the canyons. The canyon from start to finish was about 13 miles and we ran it backwards for a total of 26 miles of carving, keep in mind I've never tried this before. Haha. Man was it scary and fun.
So after the canyon, we hopped on the freeway for some fun. (It was already 2am early morning). So we decided to line up, 3 bike race. So we lined up going like 50 on the freeway, and went for it. To my surprise we were all tied from 50 - 85mph, then I started running away from both of them. I kept flooring my baby till I hit about 155-160mph and I got freaking scared and let off. I looked back to only see my cousin and brother far away behind. Is this normal? Normal or not, that **** was fun but scary. I wouldn't try going that fast on an F2 ever again. Maybe on something bigger but not an F2. Although it did feel stable with my suspension.
I've seen couple of people say they can't hit over 130 or 140 why is it that I was almost maxing out my speedo? I have stock sprockets and I was maybe half way through the power band or 2/5ths through 6 gear. Does this make sense? I felt like I could have gone faster...
