I have got a buzzing/rattling sound coming from my dash! Its driving me crazy! I think it might be coming from the mounting bolts! I think if I find some bigger rubber bushings it my take care of it. Anyone else have this problem and what did you do to fix it!!!

 

My gas tank vibrated horribly agains the frame rails and the airbox, I used sticky foam tape and it's quiet as a mouse now!

 

Well its not the tank, it is for sure coming from the dash area! Just been so buisy havent been able to take the time to take the dash out and really look

 

I had the same problem with my 92 F2. I fixed it a couple of years ago and trying to remember exactly what it was. At that time people referred to the problem as: TBLTTB. Which means Those Black Little Things That Buzz.

This is what I remember. Looking at the front of the bike up underneath the headlight area there is a fairing piece that is held on by black little push type pins. That is one thing and I also found that the fairing piece vibrates on a metal bar behind it. I put a little foam there to reduce vibrations.

The access panel for the headlight bulb (right below the headlight) has a nasty habit of buzzing. It's amazing how loud that little piece gets! Foam baby!

 

I will check the access panel under the headlight! Which bar behind the fairing?

 

put foam in between all mounting points and it will not only stop the noise youre noticing, but others youre not noticing right now....
