yeah i dont know how a bike that old can only have 5XXX miles on it, i had mine for 2 months and have 2000 on it. and i am in wisconsin also so they cant say" well it only gets ridden half the year". thats BS and i have heard that before... i agree that i would look for a 250 or 500 though especially if you are going to spend 3000 on it---> i would hate for you to find out the hard way how much fairings cost after you lay it down.
plus a salvage title in wisconsin needs a state inspection so you are looking at 75.00 there and that is IF you can get a appt. a salvage title is a REAL hassle in WI, i just went through all of that.

It looks like a nice bike, but that all depends on the quality of the paint!
The price is high too me, but if you can't find anything else for cheaper, then the seller gets to run the show.
As far as too big for a first timer, I am a believer that a new riders should start smaller and move up. That is how I started and all the people I have taught ride used this method. Just my opinion though and I know people who started on a 600+ with positive results.
