brake caliper problem

Default brake caliper problem

i cant get the stupid flat head screw out to change my brake pads. the stupid thing is in there so tight i dont kno how nebody could do it. has anyone had this problem and does anyone know a solution for me

You could try heating the surrounding area, but be very careful as you may destroy the rubber seals. You could also try a larger screwdriver or try spraying it with a product like PB Blaster.
I know the specs are pretty low as to how tight it is, but I thing most people tighten it so it won't ever come loose.

Sometimes I try at a rusted bolt or screw for a good 10 minutes before it finally gives, you may not need more torque just need to keep trying with the same amount of torque, it works for me. And if it is not stripped then try getting a socket wrench at putting one of those detachable screw driver heads in the socket, it should give you more torque.
