My 93 F2 is rapidly approaching 25,000 miles. I think it still runs fine, but at this milage is there anything major that needs to be done to ensure that I can ride it for another 25,000 miles.

im a 92 in the 37-39 range.(i stop lookin) and it still does all the brochure said it'll do.no problems what so ever, everything that ever thought about goin bad.replace. and the engine will remain happy, as well as the bike n u.(oil/oil filter/air filter/plugs/pads/fluids(brake and coolant). i mean if u feed it what it needs it never lets u down.

 

Yea, I called a couple of Honda places around here and they said it is supposed to come in for a major service at 24K. They said they change the oil, plugs, coolant and other stuff, but they want like $350.00 to do it. I'm sure I can do some of the stuff myself seeing as I've already changed the plugs about 2500 miles ago and the oil was changed at the same time, so I'm not sure if it is worth it to even take it in.

 

screw takin it in, oil plugs filter pads , everything u would possibly need u can get and install your self. a few things u might wanna get done at a shop, but certainly not the dealership[:@]clowns!

 

Valve clearance check right?

That's definately a dealer item.

 

OMG !!!! 25,000 miles, I got 60,000 on my 93 F-2, taken mine to a mech next couple o weeks in the high desert "Hesperia" the guy is gona adjust my valves look at my cam chain and tensioner and clean and adjust the carbs( he is removing all plastics and reassembling ) for $500 to $600 the dude came highly recomended from other guys I know, I don't trust the dealer mech's, no pride, just a job to them.
