Default Battery Power Switch

So I bought an LED clock for on my bike. It says I need to wire a positive, negative, and a power switch. What can I wire the power switch into? Just like one of the gauge lights?

Thanks

The power wire needs to go to a power source that has power with the bike off. This is for the memory to keep the time. The switched power is for the light/display. It should go to a power source that has power with the key in the run position. The ground just goes to a ground or splice into a ground wire.

I knew the power/ground. But what's a good place to tap in for the switched power?

I would tap into the dash lights circuit. It's close and doesn't draw on the cranking circuit. The LEDs shouldn't put too much load on the lighting system.

Awesome. Any particular wire or it just needs to be a power wire to one of the lights correct?

It will be the power wire that has key power only in the dash illumination. Use a test light, DVOM, or look at a wiring diagram to determine which.
