Default GSXR-1000 A, B, C power switch.

The GSXR-1000 has a switch that kinda tames the motor A-full power to C-less power, softer delivery. First off, why bother, isn't that what throttle control is all about? Are they trying to attract every noob out there to buy something that only a small percentage of riders are actually qualified to ride? I guess the GSXR1K will be soon considered a beginners bike. Strange.

Where does everyone see this going? Will 600s get it to make them more beginner oriented, then rechipped to allow full power. What about having a tiered licensing system like europe, 30hp, 60 hp, unlimited?

I thought your right wrist was supposed to do this job? Guess theres a switch for it now.....I can see this being a selling point, preying on the eager wallets and ignorance of buyers. I think it's gonna sell to the guys who want to start of with a 600, but move up to a liter bike once they've outgrown their 600, you know, like in 2-3 weeks. (sarcastic tone here)

I agree. I don't see the point of it. It gets the rider used to the C setting, then one day, he unknowingly clicks it to A and crashes into a stopped car. WTF are they thinking?

I'm claiming "retardation" on this.....(unless someone else has a logical, well thought-out explanation supporting this as a "good" idea.)

Are you flippin' kidding me? This is for real? You're not pulling my leg? No joking? Serious business?

Any respect I had for those at Suzuki has just gone out the window. If you are serious - this must be the biggest joke I've ever heard.

I personally have a problem with slipper clutches. It's too bad they're being used in MotoGP... it's like training wheels or something.

This is retarded. Suzuki bucks salls.

I think these bikes are in the same isle as the wheelie and stoppie buttons.

This is too funny, why even ask this here? Go ask on a gixxer forum. If you want to bash a product have the ***** to do it to their faces.

New engine management system is four time more powerful than the previous system and allows the rider to choose from three engine settings to match riding conditions with a handlebar mounted switch

I agree. Regardless of what make of bike, this system invites irresponsibility

i dont think a post on a forum qualifies as "saying it to their faces".

suzukis are fastly becoming to the bike word what Honda Civics are to the world of drag racing IMO
