What is the sole purpose of these and are they really needed? At this point on the bike I purchased there are none....just really wondering if I should spend the money to get some?

 

The stock bar ends really don't do much more than give some protection to the bars and grips just incase you have an unexpect dismount. The internal part of the bar ends is what is really doing something. This part helps to reduce some of the vibration to the grips. I currently have the internal part removed from my bars and have aftermarket barends and the vibration isnt that much different.

 

Think I will get some....some of them on ebay dont look bad...
