Yes, it should work just fine.
I would wire it differently, or try to, but since that way works...do it that way. I need to run my way by SB to see what he thinks about an alternative way. One of these days.

It should run a lot better and start easier. Your putting spark right to the plug instead of going through a wire that is designed to have lots of resistance, inconsistent resistance, and take time for the voltage to go through, not to mention that each coil fires 1 plug instead of 2.

The idea as a collective looks great on paper, especially next year my bike hitting 20 years old. I am kinda skeptical and hesitant on doing this. Seems like a cheap fix to cold mornings. Anyone with a F2 done this with no problems?

I will be attempting this mod this weekend using f4i coils, and will keep you posted on my findings...if anyone is interested.

Progress thus far.....it has been pouring rain her for the last three days but the info I have as far as ohms are concerned are this....my stock coil setup ohms out at 3.2 ohms. My donor stick coils (denso model number: 129700-3881) ohm out at 1.3 ohms each. So when I series the stick coils I get 2.6 ohms respectively. (A difference of .6 ohms). My coils are old and worn out, I was wondering if anyone else has ohmed out there stock coils so I can have a reference point, and if the .6 difference would cause a problem with my bike if I installed the coils....thoughts?

I went back and checked my math of the ohms of my stock setup, and I found out that I forgot to subtract the ohms of the leads of the stock set up...which turns out to be .3 ohms, per lead. So once I subtract this .6 ohms, I get a net 2.6 ohms. So the stick coils I picked seems to be a spot on replacement for my factory setup. So I am going to install them and see what happens.

Please keep me(us) informed on how this works out. I am back to slowly building up my big bore motor and would like to have a better option to outdated spark.
