Internet is back, so it's update time.
Sometime around hour 68 or 96 and this is where I'm at.
Project 1: Engine is back together and ready to be fitted to the frame.
~55% complete
Project 2: Mounting will be done tomorrow at my buddies shop, as will the final milling of the spacers and carrier.
~30% complete
Project 3: Frame has been painted (slightly lighter than the tank and a gloss finish instead of flat), rim has also been painted, but the tire is still to be mounted. A design has also been created for the fairings, but it is too detailed and won't get finished by the deadline...so it may stay white for a bit longer?????
~30% complete
Project 4: Tuning will start when the bike is fully assembled
~90% complete
Project 5: .....why did I even try to do 5 projects. The quick release has fallen by the wayside for now, but there is hope if EVERYTHING comes together smoothly tonight.
~10% complete
Overall I'd say I am around 40% complete. I expect tuning and the wheel swap to take the majority of the day tomorrow, and I will hopefully be riding the completed first ever wrenchfest bike on Sunday.
Pic1: valve cover, silverish color
Pic2: 900rr rim, same color as valve cover
Pic3: F3 swingarm, now smokin joes purple powdercoat, maybe change to gunmetal color.
Pic4: frame, gunmetal color
Order of pics may be messed up, it should be easy to tell what each piece is.
I'll have the names/paint codes listed later, maybe when everything is complete.

So my self appointed project time limit has lapsed. I did not finish all of the projects, but I'm not sure I can count most of today in the original project time line because of 2 minor reasons:
1) a new project emerged today, a surprise suspension modification ('98 F3 rear suspension with remote rez happy times)
2) the outside temperature topped out at just over 100*(F) and I had to seek out a cooler environment for a good portion of the day.
All excuses aside, wrenchfest 2011 has been full of enjoyment. I was hoping to get at least 1 day of riding before my vacation is over, but I guess I will just have to use the extra day for finishing up the small touches and testing.
I will post up some pics of the progress, changes, and final outcome. Hope at least one person, besides me, learned something. If anyone has any question feel free to post so others can learn too or PM me if you want a really detailed answer. Also I can provide pics of specific things if needed.
Pics of new suspension... you can sort of see it somewhere in the mess
