Need help guys!(Charging issue?)
Hey everyone, need some help if anyone can. Okay so my 92 F2 is currently out of comission, a few months back I was riding home and I stopped at a light and when I went to take off the bike stalled, I thought this was odd because I havent stalled since I first started riding, I went to restart the bike and it wouldnt start with the electric start, so I tried bump starting it and it started right up. So I ride to the next light and when I start to brake/downshift coming up to a light it dies again at low RPMs, so I bump start it again and long story short it kept doing this until I got it home. So I figured I needed a new battery so I took my old one to auto zone they tested it and it was deader than dead even after a night of charging, so I bought a new battery and this seemed to fix the promlem........until about a week ago when the bike did the same thing at a light, but this time would not bump start no matter how many times I tried. I towed it home and put it on the charger for the night and the bike started up fine in the morning. I was reading a bit and talking to friends and I believe it to be the Stator or the Regulator/Rectifier but I do not know how to test either of these things, or if there is a way to test it before I drop money on parts that may or may not fix the problem. So if anyone knows how to test these things or has any suggestions as to what else could be the problem I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks everyone!
Thanks everyone!

There is a sticky for troubleshooting the charging system which should point you in the right direction. Its in f2 tech, here's a link--->https://cbrforum.com/forum/f2-tech-9...-solved-27739/

I had a similar problem with my 93 f2. Batt. was good but would not hold a charge. have you checked your rectifier? I replaced mine with an upgraded version. The factory rectifier had problems from the begining. This fixed my problem. The other issue (more expensive fix) may be your stator. Get that baby up an running. The more classics on the road the better. Good luck!!
