92 headlight
ok TOTAL noob question...
my headlight burned out and i dont know how to take out the light to replace it....the front fairing is all closed like stock and i dont see any screws....
do i have to get it from behind under the cluster? or do i have to take off the fairing up front to do it?
thanks
Pete
BTW its a 92 CBR 600 stock

RE: 92 headlight
remove the side plastic and there are 2 allen screws near the reak of the front ferring also there are black tabs under the front of the front farring and just be carefull and remove the whole front farring head light and all....also dont touch the glass part of the new bulb it will go out and you will have to replace it again

yeah so that you can get the the 2 bolts that hold on the front end head light and all...but you could also try to wedge your hand from below the front farring but i found it to be eaiser to jsut remove it. to remove the whold side fairing you need to take the small pannels off the sides to get to one screw that is behind them and then there is also one hidden behind the tail fairing

RE: 92 headlight
in my clymer manual it says to unscrew 2 screws that hold in the black panel thats at the bottom of the front fairing. then you pull out the headlamp connector, remove the dust cup thingy, pop the clip, and remove the bulb. i replaced mine about 2 or 3 weeks ago, didnt have to remove any of the actual fairings.

RE: 92 headlight
the connector comes off first. its rubbery, and it pulls straight off. you might have to fight with it for a lil bit because its hard to grip it when your hand is cocked up and behind the light. once that is off, then the dust cover comes off. the clip will keep the actual bulb from coming out when you take the connector off.
