HEY,
JUST BOUGHT A '94 CBR 600 AND IT WOULD ONLY RUN FOR ABOUT 3 MINS THEN QUIT,
WOULD RESTART AFTER HALF HOUR OR SO!
SO I BOUGHT IT AFTER SEEING THE FUEL LINE BEING PINCHED!
SO REROUTED THE FUEL LINE ,
BIKE RUNS BUT ONLY ON CYL 3&4.
1&2 ON THE HEADER PIPE STAYS COOL ....I CHECKED AND THEIR IS SPARK ON 1&2
COULD IT BE CARBS??
I AM A LITTLE LOST,
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!

 

If you have a spark then I say the carbs need a good cleaning. Couple good write ups in the General tech section.

 

I agree its probably a fuel issue. Were the spark plugs wet or dry? Obviously if they are wet then there's fuel entering the cylinder and perhaps there is something wrong with the spark plug or ignition. Otherwise I would assume that no fuel is reaching the cylinder and that there is some sort of problem with the carburetors on those cylinders.
