Default Won’t start

I just bought a 1996 Honda CBR600f3, I fixed it up and had it running good. I put new cosmetics on it and was really excited to have it running for next season, as I live in Wisconsin. I tried to start it yesterday, it didn’t start; kept trying but the battery died. I put it on the charger and just tried it after I got home. I tried and tried and tried, I can’t get it to start. The battery died again. Not sure what to do, but honestly I’ve poured thousands of dollars into it because it DID run fine; but now I don’t know what to do and I don’t think I’ll ever get to ride it. Help?

Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your issue.
Can you give us a bit more history. Did you have it running after the cosmetics were changed?
How long was it sat?
Do you have spark?
Is the fuel getting through?

Follow these steps from the manual

Default Hey, thank you for responding.

Hey, it’s been about four weeks since I started it, gas is getting through, I just replaced pretty much everything like tubes and filters. It hasn’t been started since I put the cosmetics on. The guy I bought it from had is in a storage unit for two years, but he rode it to the meeting spot. Stuff stick. The start button stays down unless you pull it out manually, throttle doesn’t go back unless you do it manually. It turns over and starts for a split second but dies immediately. I’ve tried messing with the amount of choke, throttle, and idle. I’ve tried pulling the clutch, though I’m not sure that does anything but give me hope.

Unforunately I would start from the basics.
Sort the kill switch or you will never know if it is cutting the ignition. Sounds like the ignition circuit is working but you need to get it sorted.
Sort the throttle / carbs out, if the throttle is sticking open it will immediately flood and kill the engine.
As it has been sat for a while I would recommend stripping and cleaning the carbs, you may have to do this anyway due to the sticking throttle.
The idle circuit on these bikes are notorious for getting gummed up and causing starting issues.
