throttle cable instalment
Hello,
90'CBR 600F1. I got the engine unsized and am putting everything back together. I can not seem to figure out pull and push throttle cable arrangment.which cable is which,how do they attach. the cables I have when I atach them seem to be to shortto be functional. Pictures would help alot. Thanks guys

here are a couple of pics. not the same carbs but you get the picture.
if you need to figure out which is push and which is pull, roll the throttle to find out. once that is done, push the carb throttle spring to find out which attachment point is for the pull cable and which is for the push cable.
the carb end of the cables attach like bicycle brake cables.

Awsome. I put the cables in the mounting bracket on the carbs but the problem is the other end is not long enough to attach in the throttle housing correctly. I dont understand really, I think it was functional befor I messed with it.
install the cables in the grip first. then fit the cable ends in the carb butterfly. you might need to turn the butterfly so you can get the cable ends in easier. then put the cables in the bracket on the carb, and adjust so there is a little slack in both cables.
