RPM/MPH efficiency
How is everyone? Everyone? How?
I realize there are many variables and differences in manufacturing accuracies, but I would like to know what RPM your guys' bikes run at on sixth gear at 75mph and 85mph respectively.
My bike registers (according to stock speedo):
6,300RPPM@75MPH
7,500@85MPH
Just trying to see what the ball park figure is for the first generation CBR's
I feel like the bike is revved up too high at that speed for good fuel economy.
thanks,
Jonathan

I'm not sure since my tach registes 0 RPM @ 10mph, 0 RPM @130mph, and 0 RPM at idle.
my tach doesnt really work, but yeah. there are a few potential changes. gearing will change the rpm at any speed, be it higher or lower, depending on which way you set your sprockets up. other than sprockets, nothing will really change the rpm for a given speed between bikes, aside from the aspect ratio of your tire.

With stock gearing I ran 6000rpm @ 75mph. -1 front 6500rpm @75mph. -1 front +2 rear 7000rpm @ 75mph. I've had mine up to 140 mph indicated. Don't know what the actual speed was. Have never checked the rpms @ 85mph.
