Rear turn signals on the 1990 needed
Left blinker started quick flashing on the way to work, so I need a new bulb somewhere. No problem.
Little screw that goes into left rear TS light cover won't come out. Odd. It's really stiff, like it's rusted in, except that it's a metal screw going into plastic.
Finally comes out. Whole bulb assembly is a rusty, dirty mess as the little gasket apparently hasn't been keeping water out. The bulb has come apart but with some Kroil spray I manage to get the bulb base out of the socket, a rag twisted around in the socket for a while gets a bunch of dirt and gook out, some electrical contact cleaner cleans it out even more, and a new bulb and some dielectric grease are inserted.
Turn signal still doesn't work. Rats. Not the end of the world as I will just have to pull it apart and figure out why. Hardest part is that the relfector/socket assembly is fixed in place with two melt pins (plastic pins that you slide the assembly over and then melt the ends with a torch or iron. I'll melt them out so that the assembly can be put back together.
Except, to ride in the meantime I need the orange lens cover back on. And then I discover that the screw actually sheered off in the cover. The screw I have left is half length, the rest is stuck in the cover. Apparently the plastic cover "welded" itself to the screw over the years. I'm assuming that the screw got a little rusty right at the join between base and cover, creating a weak point.
So I stole a lens cover off my non-running 1989. For now. Don't want it to become a parts bike because it's in too good a condition. So I need a new lens cover, and potentially a new turn signal assembly.
Long way of asking "Does anyone have any for sale?". There are a couple on ebay but no way to know their actual condition, so I'll start here. If you have any that would fit (87 to 90), theoretically part number below, although that tells us nothing if you just have a box of parts. I need left, but am happy to buy a pair to have a spare right assembly as well (I haven't pulled that apart yet to look at it but have my fingers crossed). Meanwhile I'll be working on a rebuild and if no one has some that they are trying to move along, I'll hit up ebay.

Thanks.

Thanks. They've got them but $31 to ship an $18 part from Europe. Ouch. I'll keep that in mind in case I can't find one elsewhere. Appreciate the tip.
Honda Parts House has brand new lenses for $10 each, gaskets for $6. Turns out I can get the screws through McMaster-Carr, who I do a lot of business with anyway, for $10 for a bag of 50 (3x25 self tapping screws).
Now to tear apart the housing and see if I can fix the socket assembly to make it work. If not, I guess I'll still be looking for a whole assembly.
