Problem... help
Hey guys,
I just got a FULL tune on my 90 600F 42K on the clock., and Enjoyed it for about a day and a half. After my second ride on the bike, I mistakenly left my lights or something on and let the bike sit for a couple days.... now, today I jumped the bike and had it running, however, whenever I went to open the choke a little, my bike would bog down and die. Now, I thought it was just that it wasn't warmed up enough.... wrong, when I jumped started it again, I let it run for a good 6.5 minutes, and made sure it was at running temp before I even touched the choke.... DIED... I am really pissed right now, and missed a nice 63* day in CO to ride....
The tune up included,
New fluids, plugs, wires.
Jet pump(?) clean because it was clogging two cylinders
What is going on with my bike???

RE: Problem... help
It's possible you fried your CDI box.
If you have a Clymer manual, there a re a few tests you can do if you have a multimeter to check if you fried it.
Oh, and it's a little late, but DON'T EVER jump your bike with a car.
Why are you trying to choke the bike anyway if it's warmed up?

Well, on second thought, then, if it runs at all your electrics are probably ok. Can you keep it running with the throttle when you take it off choke? If so, then its just possible that you need to play with your idle screw.
Bergs has a good point that you should charge the battery fully before you do anything else. It's really not a good idea to jump the bike and try to let the bike's charging system charge the battery. It puts a lot of stress on the charging system and could lead to some premature failure.
I'd say get a full charge and then try again. Also maybe measure the voltage before starting, and after it's running to see if everything is charging ok.
