Default no highbeams

Hi all, finishing up the bike in time for the weather and have no highbeams, the light cuts off when i turn the highbeam on. The PO had a jaguar dual headlight on it and spliced in an extra connector. Any ideas?

do you have an extra swich to turn on the aftermarket headlight? if its the stock switch, open it up and make sure all the connections are soldered. did you check for power at the wire on high beam setting? check the highbeam circuit on the bulb?

Yeah, if it had always been a stock headlight, I'd say it was the bulb, but with the modification I would start by testing for power at the wire like Tripicana said.
