Thumbs up

Hey Dave

It was great to see your bike in the flesh. Looks mechanically in pretty good shape. You're also lucky in that the paint on the fairings and tank seems original. Mine's got a rough spray job on it that I'm going to sort out. I have an original screen but its been sprayed. Do you know if its legal if its sprayed? I was thinking I might do mine silver or black. I'm jealous of your rear lights as I don't have them or the main stand or the side stand switch (will source these in the future). As for your plastics - there's some great info on here for fixing 'em up. I have to do mine at some point too especially around the lugs that hold them on. I'm going to stick the back wheel on next and clean up the rear brake. You've got a brilliant project there mate keep going with it!

Yes i'm quite lucky as the paint job on it is not to bad to be honest.
As far as i know your fine having the screen painted as you cant see through it unless you were flat on the tank any way
I want a main center stand for mine as its missing, i like having a main stand, i always use the one on the Kawasaki and hardly ever use the side one. I will post some pics as i do the fairing and as i spray the repairs, hopefully i can make a half decent job of it lol

I think we have different definitions of "sun" lol. In all seriousness though, it looks like it is really coming along. Do you have full fairings for it or part?

I also noticed your speedo cable is really long. Not hooked up yet? I wouldn't feel comfortable with that much slack.

Aww look at the poor old girl half naked in the street! At least give her a blanket to preserve her modesty you animal

I like the older retro models, I think she's really pretty. Does this old lass have a name yet or do you not name your bikes?

finished Repairing the lower faring today.
Its not come out to bad, its not mint but the hole has been filled in and painted and i'm happy enough with it

It just needs a t-cut and a polish once its hardened up.

Great job. Look 10x better than it did. I'm not looking forward to refabrication nearly every clip and bolt hole in my fairings, as it is pretty much held together with zip ties now
