Its more bad news
I've managed to get hold of one new t piece from David Silver Spares but they have now said that was the last one they had and its discontinued so i'm Not sure what i'm going to do for the other one as yet, some one did suggest gluing the old one but i'm sure the fuel would soon un-stick it

On a brighter side the wheels are painted and look good, the swinging arm need touching up so i will do that next before re-fitting them.
Shame its still not running , i'm dying to hear the girl fire up

I could not wait any longer to see how it ran so i've bodged the fuel piece for now to try and get it running, i've put the carbs back together, put them on and success, its a runner, sounds quite sweet too, i've done a video of it running, its only a cheep camera so the sound or picture is not the best but it gives you an idea

Sounds good man. Wheels look good too, just painted mine as well, a dark red sparkle. What did you do to get fuel?

Cheers mate, i'm well happy its a runner

For fuel i trimmed the old T piece connection until i could get a small bit of fuel tube on it, pushed that into the carbs and bolted the 4 back together so the T piece cant get out, seams to be working for now, no leaks so far

well i'm sure this fuel thing is sent to test me, i did this repair to get it running for now and it seams to have done the trick, only problem is now the other side of the same t piece is leaking fuel, i guess its the o ring, i might as well try my repair on that side too until i can find a new one.

Any how, heres how i fixed it the first time, now for round 2

A clever fix that mate and the wheels look great too. If you're able to do a vid I'd love to see her. Brilliant stuff

Ive not managed to find a replacement fuel T piece as yet so i did a repair on the other side of it too as the o ring was leaking. It will do the trick until i can find one, at least i will be able to use it

I'm off work next week so if all goes to plan and i can finish it in time i will be taking it for the mot

I don't have anything technically constructive to say, but thanks for posting the videos! I'm enjoying watching this bike get some tlc.

How far do you think you'll go repairing the fairings? Are you just going to tidy them up a bit or completely restore them?

Thanks, i don't mind if you don't have tech talk to say, knowing your enjoying watching the developments is good enough for me

I will probably just tidy the fairing bits as the one side is good, depends how well my repairs on it go, plastic repairs are new ground for me lol
