I have to say, even with it living out side for years the brakes are in surprisingly good shape

But the tires (or tyres) won't be! That will be your next purchase . You should be prepared to spend at least as much as you did for the bike on new rubber (200-250 quid, depending on your local prices).

Considering this bikes been parked up a few years the carbs are not to bad either, i dont know if the guy drained them first or anything but they were dry inside and wont take to much cleaning

I'm so pleased to see the progress you're making and that she's in pretty good nick all things considered.

Tyres are one of those things you'd have spent out on sooner or later regardless of the bike you'd bought anyway, so don't worry about it

Any chance you'll be posting a video when you start her up? I'm curious about how it'll sound.

Thumbs up

hey bro those carbs looks in good shape, mine were about the same when I opened them up the other week. I've just cleaned up my throttle cables and twist grip as they were a bit dry. how are yours? Awesome that you got the exhaust off ebay! If you've got a youtube thing I'd love to see the old girl. If you click on some of my old posts they have vids on which link to my channel and you can see my project. I doubt you'll learn anything from me but its cool to check out other peoples' bikes.

Any one know if you can still buy these bits, i'm guessing its going to be hard to get replacements

Damn... yeah thats a toughy. I would find the O.D. of those T-connectors and go to a local auto parts store and source a generic T-connector.

hi mate, I reckon if that was me finding those broken t pieces I would be thinking about getting another set of carbs off ebay for 50 quid and selling anything I didn't need or had surplus from the rest of the bike.

can you sell your old end can?

then again you might find the parts somewhere.

don't worry about it and work on something else that needs attention while you find the parts.
