It was $5500(Canadian dollars)out the door... and one of my greatest Hurricane moments was putting the key in it and driving it away from the dealership. I pined over it since the very first rumors in print. Haunted the dealership until one actually appeared and then showed up for regular drooling sessions until the actual purchase was made. The whole process seemed to take forever.

A couple of years ago one of the motorcycle mags was doing a comparison to illustrate the evolution of the CBRs. They stated at that time stock bikes were extremely rare and hard to find for the photos in the article. That was one of the reasons I wanted to keep it original. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Braking is better than new with the braided brake lines...The suspension is a little tired. Overall it still rides and performs well. It is not my daily ride anymore since I bought the 08 CBR1000. Now I have the time and space to do the rest of my restoration on it...including freshening up the suspension and the engine.
