Getting my 87 back together and I stripped all the black paint off my mirror boots which are now gray. I want them black. Is there a special type of paint I need so it doesn't crack when I bolt on mirrors? OR, is there another mirror that will bolt right on?

 

Don't think those should have been painted at all. CBRs came with rubber boots that were color matched. My 89, for example, has white boots. Any paint you put on soft rubber is going to crack off. Unless I am missing something.
