I just put my bike back on the rode and need to get it inspected. Last year when i got it inspected it was stock. I now have no cowlings what so ever, loud exhaust and banshee front head lights. Also my plate is mounted on the side of my bike side-ways. Do you thing i will have a problem passing. Do you need to have cowlings on to pass or is that a bad rumor i heard?

 

Depends from staet to state. Worse case scenario is you fail and have to put the cowlings back on long enough to pass inspection.
Some states require the license to be horizontal as opposed to vertical. The exhaust depends, my D&D head back passes inspection, but I take it to a retired Harley shop guy so its considered quiet, lol!

 

I'm from MASS. I went to Archies Honda in New Bedford and all he said was that plastics cannot be lose and that was with my side fairings off. Just front cowl and back on so not 100% sure but I know if u bring the bike they will tell you whats up because there not making money off inspections I think.

 

Call the inspectors and ask them.
