So my bike is standing in my garage, a CBR600F Hurricane from '87.
It smells like gasoline in there, not really heavy, but u smell it... After a day or two its gone (while it hasnt moved) so i was thinking it might be the exhaust...
Some guy told me that it's very dangerous, cuz there's a damp of gas in there, and if there would be a small fire it would lit the whole place up...
What could it be? I always put my tank on 'Off' when i place the bike in the garage so i doubt its leaking, never found any liquid underneath it either, any ideas?
Thanks

I would check around the carbs to see if there is fuel in that area. Last year, my #3 carb liked to drip for a little while after the bike stopped. THat would make the garage smell like gas until I started letting the bike sit in the driveway for an hour or so after riding to "air out."

yep old thread but I got similar issue. Momma got a sensitive sniffer and even parked outside it was strong enough to smell it. left it in garage for a week while I was gone and wow I could smell it. Always shut off fuel selector while parked anywhere. I'll look at the carbs, but anywhere else I should be checking out? never see any fuel dripping anywhere...
