Question HELP needed re wheels THANKS

Hi
My other half (Butchers Pencil) runs a cbr600f on a Q plate so some of the parts are from differing years. She was unfortunate enough to have the rear bearings collapse whilst on a ride, despite them being changed in April. As a consequence the bearings chewed out part of the wheel hub.

We have purchased what we though was a replacement wheel only to find that the hub is a different size so the cush drive etc don't fit. We were wondering if anyone can identify the hub model/year so we can order the right parts. The only difference we can see is a mark in the spokes. The original has 95P stamped on it and has a 165mm hub whereas the other one has 93 stamped on it and is about 140 across the hub. Is this referring to the year?

Any help would be appreciated as she is worried about finding the right parts.

Many thanks

Rich aka Bugkiller

There should be a date of production cast into the wheel. Mine has 2 circles: 1/2 and 00, made Dec 2000 for a 2001. If you need help, post pics of all the cast marks you can find.

Sounds like you may have a 1993 F2 wheel and a 1995 F3 wheel. The F2 wheel would have a 4.5" wide rim and an F3 wheel has a 5" wide rim.

The wheel in the picture looks like an F3 wheel. Not sure what you are saying exactly in your post. Do you have an F1 with a damaged F2 wheel that you want to replace with the F3 wheel? Or an F2 damaged wheel you want to replace with the F3 wheel in the picture?
