headlight starter button issue
Hi all,
First time rider/poster with a 88 Hurricane I got a bit ago.
So far its been great but I'm having a bit of problem with it - the headlight wont stay on. However, if i push in the starter button just slighly, it comes on and works fine. Let go of the button and headlight goes off.
Has anyone experienced this or have any thoughts on it?
I was going to take the grip apart and check for a loose wire/connection at the switch but if there is something else or easier fix to be had, I'm all for it.
Thanks

It is probably either a corroded wire in the handle bar control housing, or it is a crossed wire that is shorting the headlight connection when you press the start button. Does your headlight go out when you start your bike?
couldnt get the throttle controls off the grip but was able to work some grease down around the starter button connections and used some wd40 on the switch itself. Got the light to come on and stay on, all is good now.
Thanks for the help
