so my headlight comes on certain times, and other times doesn't. if it comes on with the bike, it stays on, if it doesn't come on when the bike comes on, it wont come on at any point. I took apart the light/turn signal assembly, and the connection is good. I also had my friend who is very good with electrical work over, and got spent 6 hours looking at the electrical work and even redoing some of it, and it still happens. Any suggestions?

 

bad ground? loose connection at bulb?
the light cuts out when you press the starter button, maybe take a look at that too?

 

Well...good and bad news on this front. Took your advice and took apart the starter/kill switch assembly, and sure enough, there needs to be a connection in there to keep the light on, and it was loose. But, unfortunately while figuring that out, I broke my starter tab, and now I need a whole new assembly. I issue fixed/understood, another one created.
