fuel pump problem
i recently bought my first cane and the fuel pump was complete junk and i got to think what about an inline pump from a carb. car. the car runs ant about 4 to 7 psi. i was wondering if anyone knows the what the factory pump puts out? also if i wanted to bypass the the fuel pump relaydo i conect the the 2 plack wires but then what do i do with the yellow one?
from 1987-89 manual
Black wire is hot to fuel relay from fuse box(fuel pump)
Blue w/ black strip is hot wire to fuel pump. (does not become hot till activated by yellow w/ blue stripe wire)
Yellow w/ blue stripe wire comes from cdi box (computer or spark unit)
Make sure yellow wire doesn't touch (although it is a-12v)anything or it will confuse the cdi. From the diagram the fuel pump doesn't stay on all the time. It turns on when the cdi tells the #1 and #4 plugs to fire(same wire). Won't hurt anything though (I guess!). I'm gonna do that.

from the book...
fuel pump flow capacity for one minute is 650cc or 21.9 oz
redirect pump to measure yours by filling up a beaker for one minute
I had already bypassed by filter, haven't messed with pump. I don't know if the yellow w/blue wire is supposed to be on/off + or - 12 volts!
