Fuel leaks that are really annoying me :(
Hi guys, I'm having a few issues with my carbs on my 90 cbr at first all the float bowls where leaking because off their shoddy o-ring gaskets and because I can't find any websites that sell the o-rings for a reasonable price I went out and brought some of this stuff
and silicone lubricant spray, soaked the o-rings in the spray for a good half an hour and thought if I apply the sealant stuff into the lines where the o-rings sit on the float bowl and then push the o-rings into it that should do for awhile (the stuff says it is not to be totally immersed in petrol) but because there is a o-ring between the sealant and the fuel surely it should last for a bit anyway. Now it seems I have come across a new leak! After putting the carbs back onto the bike once the sealant is dry and trying to fire her up I notice that these little pipes
are totally pissing fuel out the instant I try to fire her up, I'm pretty sure all the floats are fine they all moved freely I cleaned everything out when I took them apart those pipes could have been leaking before I took everything out and cleaned it all up, but this is the worst it has ever leaked (there was a nice level of fuel on the floor)
So... what have I buggered up?
Thanks
Ragnaco

Read this post. Maybe it will help. https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f-15/87-cbr600-leaking-fuel-between-carbs-3-4-a-104659/ I'm not sure since I have never had to pull my carbs and do an intensive cleaning but I think that is a carb overflow tube. If that is the case then you probably have a float level problem on at least 2 carbs if it is leaking from both tubes. Did you check the float level on re-assembly? This is critical.
