Default Frame sliders

hi
im after info on frame sliders, (crash mushroom's/bungs) im in the uk and they dont sell any for the FK
if any one has them can you tell me what model they are for ? also if you had to cut the faring any help would be cool thanks

I've seen them installed before on fightered Hurricanes. Apparently you just buyt he F2/F3 ones like they have on D2moto ($20!). Then you remove the lower front engine bolts, and measure the length. Then measure the length of the bolt showing once inside the slider. Take the original length, subtract the shorter length (with slider) and that's the length of the slider. Add that to the original length. Then go to a hardware store and purchase the proper bolt in grade 8.8 steel.

It seems to me like you would be able to do the above and then just drill through the plastic where the slider needs to go with what is known as a "hole saw" drill attachment.

No problem. Just for your info, the easiest way to determine WHERE TO drill is to put the bolt in, MINUS the frame slider. Then mount the plastics, and back it out until it hits them. Mark around the head of the bolt with a sharpy, and remove plastics. You'll know where the bolt is hitting, and just drill dead center on that. You'll have as pot on frame slider hole in your fairing.
