Frame Sliders
Ok, Besides madkawa does anyone have frame sliders on their 1000F? I have been looking for some to help protect my new paint job but have been thwarted so far. Help!
EDIT: Looks like this question has been asked before to no avail. Oh well.

The frame sliders are built in. If you take the plastic off you will see them under the plastic piece that sticks out in the side air vent just forward of your knee. I dropped my bike and they work well. They are not cheep, $52 US.

Hey Bro
the frame sliders I got on really do work. The other day I was trying to manouver the bike out of a tight spot, while pushing the bike forward (I had my helmet on) I unknowingly pushed the side stand up. Thinking the stand was still down I leaned the bike to rest on the side stand. Lean Lean Lean........ Point of no return!!!! The bike fell and rested on the sliders........kinda on a 45 degree angle like the gold wings. I thought there will be some real damage to the bottom fairing. To my astonishment, I did not see any damage at all ..... don't think I saw any scratches too. Except for my F'king knee in the way which I will elaborate more next month.... This month is ROTM!!!!

Want to order me some and I'll buy them from you?MDFF
I had a set made for mine using urethane.
They are bolted on with thefront engine mount bolt. Unfortunatly I wasnt thinking about placement and drilled the plastics to suit. Kinda wish now I hadn't.
I thought, later, you could make a set of adaptor plates and still use the front mount bolt and the adaptor to put the sliders further forward to come out through the standard holes it the fairings. Mine are quite long, about 100mm but have saved my bike many times.
