Default fitting fairings

been awhile since ive posted, got the bike running well now, fairings and tank painted after extensive repairs. I still havent gotten to the front headlight fairing, may order a new one as its too far gone for repair. Here is my problem, fitting the side and rear fairings on without the cable guide and rear tank damper is a bitch, rubbed the new paint off the tank from the seat,, does anyone have a measurement on them so i can fabricate them, going to use rubber from an old snow plow blade,, just need the thickness,,, tried using washers to space it out, and am running out of patience....the rubber grommets that go under the tank would be good too as i will make some of those as well. Bought the bike in pieces and yeah sure the parts are all there in boxes,,,, not,....well ive got it running and ridden about 10 miles on it up and down the road.. hoping to get it legal soon as summer is here.... had to redneck the gas tank lines, filter and shut off as the petcock wasnt there,,,must be made of unobtanium,, cant find one anywhere on the net that will fit,,,well my rant is done, back to garage to play with the fairings.....i fell better.....

Good luck, these bikes are getting hard to find parts for, even the fairings have become obsolete!

The cable guide cover is a toughie, but you can get the front and rear tank mounting rubber from cheap cycle parts. I think I may have an extra rear rubber mount - used - if it's of use to you.

The F1 fuel petcock is still available through your Honda dealer. I got one six months ago, 80$ Canadian.
