Default Fairing Fabrication Idea: Looking for Opinions

I had recently purchased F2 fairings, and me and my buddy were trying to fabricate them on today, and we are having way to many issues. So I came up with the idea of using sheet metal, and molding them on the bike to how I want, then using that sheet metal as a mold, and fiberglassing around them. It would make a much cleaner fit, I'm just wondering if there would be any issues I would run into. Any opinions?

You mean besides the mess for fibreglass and sheetmetal?

be prepared for lots of sanding, but anything is possible as long as you have a picture in your head.

My opinion...if you are having problems mounting the new fairings (you don't elaborate too much exactly what the problem is) I think thrying to make a fairing out of sheetmetal and then using it as a mold would be a lot more intense and take more skill than just working with what you have.

Making a complete set of fairings is pretty tough.

As said before though, anything is possible.

I think maybe he's saying he's going to modify the current fairing that way, so it fits right.

or did I misunderstand?

and it seems doable, as far as I know.
