f2 motor swap

i guess the biggest concern is would the engine fit, i know we looked at an f3 motor to swap into mine and it just didnt look like it would go in right. however, the 89 went right in and runs like a champ. i would assume there is not much different in the wiring, actually the only wires should be to the starter, stator, and the oil and neutral light sensors.

Even if it does fit, you'd have to check out the trigger system. Even the triggers are different between 89 and 90. 87-89 has a two-trigger (four wire) system, 90 has only one trigger and two wires, and a different CDI box.
If you could make the f2 engine fit, you need to use the F2 CDI, so you'd need to check out the wiring similarities/differences between the two. Even if you put an f2 engine in your bike, and try to use the trigger and CDI from your F1 and somehow make it work, it might run like crap.
Like Rasco said, the other things like starter, stator, neutral, and oil lights should be no problem. It's really about making it fit in the frame in a way that isn't stupid.
