took out my 88 cane out on her first real ride, ive had several test rides while tuning some things but today was the first ride longer than a mile. had to take her easy though cause i need new tires and new sprockets and chain. here are some pics of the ride with a friend and his 94 vfr750 thats pretty beat up. i love the power of his bike though, cant complain with a high revving v4!! and were in the process of retro fitting rr fairings on his.

 

Nice headlights! Basic but functional! Where did you pick those up?

 

i knew someone would ask that, and they were actally pretty expensive lights from aztec8.com, at least expensive for my little budget rebuild.

 

Wowza! $200+! Well, do they work nice? The cheap ones are usually almost unusable at night. The light is just on there to keep police in the city happy

 

i actually havent been able to ride at night but i turned them on of course and they look great.

 

my bikes gauges doesn't have the honda emblem on it, or even a place for it?

 

they didnt have that until 1990

 

I'll bump this back up with some pics of my new-old '87 Hurricane. Any ideas for trimming the front fairing?
