Default just bought it

I just got this last night. Rear seat and rear fairings are off as well as the tank. I'm planning to customize a few things. I'm new to the scene and just doing some research at the moment. Pics from my phone...

Hey Mephology,

What color is your bike? Looks like a type of blue? It's hard to tell for sure from the pics, but you seem to have a similar paint scheme as my 89 hurricane with the white rims as well.

Have you ridden your bike a lot before? How do you deal with the rims getting so dirty? The rear is the worst since the chain has to get lubed periodically.

Default Some pics of my recently returned to the road f1

This is my recently returned to the road 1990 f1.
I bought it on ebay just before christmas.
I have all the paperwork for it from new, sales invoice, service history etc.
It is in pretty good condition for its age as it has only covered 26000 miles in its life and has allways been dry stored.
I found a good standard end can on ebay that I have bought and intend to fit it soon as I prefer quiet bikes and find the can fitted a bit to loud for my taste.
Real nice bike,my best ebay buy to date I think.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Hi. I'm not exactly sure what type of blue. To me, it looks like a midnight blue. I just got it. The bike has some issues right now and it can't start. You can keep an eye out on my thread on the 600f forum for details and progress. Thanks!

Wiping off the excess when doing chain maintenance greatly reduces the amount of dirt.

Sulai: Nice bike.. I must have missed that one on eBay.. I look there all the time ;-) I had that exact same bike back in like 1992, now I have an 89 in Pearl White and silver.
I also had an aftermarket pipe on my bike that I did not like too much and I ended up finding the best deal on OEM one from an F2 CBR600, which fits just fine and I actually like the look of the pipe better. YOu will have no problem finding a nice muffler on eBay, but I bet you will make out better with an F2 or F3 muffler since the "Hurricane" mufflers I had found were a little bit more beat up it seemed, and most all of them needed sanding and paint.

Hi,
thanks, the bike is real nice,I'm very pleased with it.
I'm the other side of the pond in the UK,the bike is off ebayUK so that would explain why you missed it.
I have managed to sourced an F1 pipe off ebay also and it is in very good shape,it's pretty much as new ,cost about 50 USD.
It will be going on as soon as a new honda exhaust gasket and clamp arrives that I had to order new.(And cost me more than the end can!)
Cheers,Pat.
