Default F1 600 Battery Relocation

Has anyone successfully relocated or modified their battery/battery box?? I'm turning my busted 87 into a streetfighter and am trying to clean up the tail and subframe area. My problem is this gigantic ugly box hanging out the bottom. Any advice is appreciated.

Check out Shorai battery for lithium ion batts. Can lay them on their side, maybe a small one can fit in the tail section?

hi mate I know this is probably an old thread but I have just started my 87 cbr600F1 cafe inspired build and after stripping the bike down I’m wanting to relocate the battery and CDI all wiring etc. I just wanted to ask how much room there was by placing yours under the tank? Was it super tight? Have you got anymore photos? Also that video link doesn’t work.

id appreciate any help you can send my way.

cheers mate,

daniel

Anyone gott better photos of this battery relocation? They just aren’t super clear and extra pics would help a lot.
also did you run pod filters by any chance?
