Default customizing a 88 cane

will the f2 fairings fit on a 88 cane? and does anyone know where to get an undertail kit for one or do i have to custom make one?

Nothing but the oem fairing is a direct bolt on.. many members have fabricated brackets to put alternate plastic on. If you go back through the pages in this section you may find a few examples. Welcome and good luck.

sure! although, as thrasher has stated, you will need to fabricate custom brackets to mount the plastics to.

there is no undertail kit for an f1. even if there was, if you replace the tail then it wouldnt line up anyways. if you use an f2 tail, you may be able to find an f2 undertail and use it, idk, you would just have to try. if you use some other model plastic, try to use an UT for that model. you could also try fabbing one yourself...

Hey I just put an F4i fairing on my 88 hurricane. Going for a rat/street fighter type look. It was a pain in the butt dude. Had to chop the frame and make new brackets as well as new seats. If you have any skill with that stuff it would be a fun project. It cost a lot of money to get that done or a lot of hours in the shop if you want to do it yourself.
