Default Clutch problem can u help?

When i put the bike in gear and pull in the cluth the bike will not roll on its own.It is very hard to move but it moves. When i put it into neutral the bikes rolls fine.It feels like the cluth is not fully engaged i have checked the lever and clutch cable they seem to be fine. Is my clutch just out and i can gte a new one or is it a mechanical problem pls help cant afford 60$ hr rate at the motorcycle shop.

you may need to adjust your clutch cable, maybetake some play out since it sounds like it is not engaging the clutch all the way in. there is a barrel adjuster just after the lever perch. if you really need to remove a lot of slack out, do from end of clutch cable. try adjusting and see if this fixes your problem.

if what michigan said does not work then you may have to repalce the clutch cable. these are 20 year old bikes and after a lot of wear the clutch cable may be starting to come apart. when this happens you loose strenght in the cable because there isn't enough strands of wire to hold the force of ou pulling in the clutch lever.
