Hi!
I got a CBR600F 1989, and she runs like a rocket.
This morning she didn't want to start (the first time it's happened to me, but it has happened twice to the previous owner). I played around with the choke, engine kill switch was disabled, ect. It's not the fuel pump/carbs/ect. (confirmed that myself)...Does anybody know if it's faulty wiring on the CBR, or is a safety switch going awol on me? The starter turned...but she didnt want to start. Thanks for all of your quick replies

 

It could be the sidestand safety switch or a neutral safety switch or a bad ignition switch.

 

the starter wouldn't turn, or the bike just wouldn't start?
id check battery voltage, and spark.

 

the starter wont crank if you have a bad neutral switch.
make sure the ignition switch is ON, just covering the basics.
simple to check for spark, pull a plug wire, stick another plug in it, hold it to the engine case, crank and see if it sparks.

 

Could be the fuel pump starting to go.

 

If the battery voltage is low, it will crank but not start. Check battery voltage.

 

I'd say, since starter did turn that , I'd check voltage , or sounds like clogged fuel filter?
