Id be ever so greatful.
Also could you tell me how well the bike runs with the restriction?

If its done like rally racing restrictors its just a smaller air tube in line with the main air intake in front of the carb or throttl bodies. Basically a piece of steel cut out with hole cutters to fit the outside of the intake tracts, and then a smaller hole in the middle. I would guess about 1/3 the size of the stock inlets to diminish the power to a nanny state level.

sounds spot on, when I had restrictors in my gsx600f they were just 4 thin washers with, as you say, a hole about a 1/3 of the size of the washer in the middle (oval shape, but my bike came with the old ones which were round the round hole ones didnt get installed as i planned to do as the garage said they cant fit them as I new a new set as there was an insant when someone sued the restrictor manufacture after it was claimed he reinstalled some and they went into his bike and cased a problem with either his bike or himself due to a crash, cant remember)

My advice mate is leave them out genuinely don't bother. If you ever get pulled just tell them they were supposedly in there when you bought it.

the £200 brand new for installing them IS money spent you will NEVER see again! EVER you may resell them for £30 on eBay when your done but the £170 loss for making your bike slower and actually not doing it any good as it will run rich (or lean i cant remember which) is stupid.

the thing is generally in an accident, if its bad enough and your fault to make the police check the bike then you are guna be in a state where the last thing on your mind if what is happening to your bike or the insurance (to be blunt) and if its that bad the bike will be in pieces anyway so you say well check inside the engine cos they where in there before i crashed, if that take it apart or its that badly smashed anyway there aint guna be able to dyno it as the set up to do so would mean they would not have the same readings as before you crashed it cos they would need new parts and you think they are guna spend the money and time over 4 washers?

Possibly a silly question, but have you thought about going Direct Access rather than restricted license?
