I have the service manual for the 1987-1989 600 hurricane.

Just wanted to confirm that parts are interchangeable from the 87 into the 89.

I have a donor engine from an 87 just would like to confirm it can be mounted into the 89 frame?

wiring and ECU interchangeable too?

please forgive me if this is posted elsewhere.

Side note - does anyone know a reputable website that has replacement parts for a bike this old (mainly for engine rebuild - piston rings ect) or am I stuck with used OEM ebay parts?

 

@jdsilva Hi and welcome to the forum. Most of the things between those models were interchangeable. A good way to check is via a part number comparison. Granted that many items may not be available from Honda anymore for those years, you can still check compatibility with the part numbers. Here is an example for US market models. Clicking on a part number will show what other models and years used the same part. Sometimes they might indicate only one year which may be true, but often it is due to a particular color that was only available for that year, but will "fit" other years. I hope this helps.
