Default Cbr 600 1990

Hi all , new here and was just wanting to say hi and ask advice.

Sitting my test on the 24th march!!!

Looking @ a 1990 CBR 600 36000 on the clock going to see it the morn, might buy.

New bearings, pads, disks. tax, mot june2009 Pic below.

Anyone know what to look out for for a CBR this age?

He wants 900 pound for it. Good deal? Good 1st big Bike?

That seems like a pretty good price. The bike looks clean and you said it has some new parts added on. I say go for her.

Well with any old bike, check out the plastics thoroughly, make sure there is no cracks.

Check out the frame, see if there is any cracks, ride the bike and see if it's straight, or if it pulls to the side sharply

and check the sprocket for wear

other then that your just going to have to use your good sence

Excellent first big bike!!! You will love it. Great riding position, bullet proof engine, great performance. I assume that you have had other bikes before, maybe know some basic maintenance? That would be $1269 US dollars for that bike, which is reasonable to me, especially after looking at the pic! If it starts and rides/ sounds OK then I would say buy it! Good luck!
