I replaced my messed up wiring harness on my 1989 cbr600with a nice one from a 1990 cbr600. Everything plugged right in perfectly until I got to the CDI box... This newer harness has 7 circular hookups on it. The older one had the normal tab style. Does anyone have the CDI box to go with this harness? Does anyone know a fix for this or can point me in the right direction?

Itried to do some research andTHINK this is the model number for the box I need:
30410 - MT6 -870

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The bike is freshly painted and all is set to go except this one part!

Can't you just splice in the plug from the old harness? Should be the samewire colors I think. I thought the harness would be the same from an 89 to a 90.

 

All seems the same except for the CDI box. Can't splice as one is11 wire and the other is a 7 wire. Any help anyone?

 

the 1990 adds sensors and only has one pulse generator
probably not interchangable but check schem and chapter two diagn...notes1990 dfifferences
