i went to the general tech section but all the directions werent there... so i found it at http://cbrworld.net/forums/thread/140473.aspx and followed the directions. the battery voltage was about 12.75 V with bike not on. so i went to step 4 to check the voltage between the red/white wire and the green wire of the connector and it read about 12.75/12.76 V which it says the voltage should be the same as the battery voltage. so i moved onto step 5 to check for continuity between the green wire and ground. that is saying 0. i also checked the resistance between the yellow wires and that is saying 0. i hope this helps.

those zero readings should show some resistance. did you have the meter on the right setting, did you check the alternator or regulator side of yellow wires. make sure there isn't a short either.

i went through looking at all the connectors and the ignition connector had debris and looked somewhat melted.

The ignition connector? Where is it located?

if the seat cover is off and the tail fairing is off... it is located by the battery on the right side (the neg. side of the battery). it is where the pos. and neg. connect to the fuse. i am still loosing charge in the battery. i was told it was the ignition connector by a friend of mine... so i guess it might not be called that!!!

that might be the CDI connector, was it connected to a square black box?
turn your multi meter to the amps setting "A"
disconnect the negative battery cable, and put one multimeter lead to the battery, and the other lead to the negative battery cable. read how many amps are being drawn.
re-connect cable.
now go to fues block at front. pull each fuse, one at a time, and check to see if any of those circuits are reading any amps. you need to find what circuit is causeing a drain on your battery.

i think the starter solenoid is near that location also. i'm not sure how a stuck solenoid would drain the battery without turning over the starter though. is there a clicking noise coming from it when you connect/disconnect the battery cable?

do you have a digital camera? burned connectors are not a good sign and may lead to the problem.
